Your details, in safe hands
Trusting someone with your wedding day is a big thing. Trusting them with your personal information should feel just as safe. Here is exactly what My Sheri Photography collects, why, and what you can decide for yourself.
The short version: I only ask for what I need to reply to you and to understand how people find the site. I don’t sell your information, and I never share your photographs without your say-so.
Who I am
This website is run by My Sheri Photography — Roland Dewnath, a wedding and family photographer based in Sydney, Australia. If you have any question about your information, reach me any time at roland@dataapps.co.za or on +61 406 093 588.
What I collect, and why
When you make an enquiry. The contact form asks for your name, email, an optional phone number, and whatever you choose to tell me about your day. I use these details only to reply to you and, if we go ahead, to plan your shoot. Your enquiry is delivered straight to my inbox through my own infrastructure — it never passes through a third party.
When you browse the site. If you accept the cookie notice, Google Analytics collects anonymous information about your visit — which pages you looked at, roughly where in the world you are, and the kind of device you used. It helps me understand which of my work resonates and how couples find me. It never identifies you personally, and it only runs if you say yes.
Cookies
A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. This site uses just one kind: Google Analytics cookies, and only after you accept them. Decline, and none are set. There are no advertising or tracking cookies from anyone else.
You’re always in control — you can manage your cookie preferences here, or clear cookies at any time through your browser’s settings.
Who I share information with
I keep your circle small. This site — including the contact form — runs entirely on my own Amazon Web Services infrastructure, so your enquiry is never handed to a third-party form company. The one outside service with any visibility into visitor data is:
- Google Analytics — provides the anonymous visitor statistics described above, only with your consent. See Google’s privacy policy.
I never sell your personal information, and I don’t share it with anyone else for marketing.
How long I keep it
I keep enquiry emails for as long as we’re in conversation and for a reasonable time afterwards, in case you come back. Ask me to delete your details and I will. Analytics data is anonymous and is retained by Google under their standard settings.
Your photographs
Your images belong to your story. Client galleries are private and password-protected, and I’ll only ever feature your photographs publicly — here or elsewhere — with your permission. If you’d prefer your wedding stay entirely private, just tell me. That’s always an easy yes.
Your rights
You can ask me what information I hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it — no forms, no fuss. A short email is all it takes, and I’ll take care of it promptly.
Changes to this notice
If this notice ever changes, the updated version will always live on this page with a fresh date below.
Ask me anything — I’d rather you knew.
