Some photographs are taken. The best ones are kept — the laugh that escapes mid-vow, your grandmother’s hands around the teacup, the six seconds of quiet before the doors open.
That is what I watch for. Not the stiff line-up or the borrowed pose, but the true minutes of a day you will want back. My work is calm, warm and honest — and it starts long before the shutter does.

Diyas lit one by one at a family prayer. Candlelight in a stone chapel. The last of the sun through a garden mandap. I have photographed ceremonies of many faiths and families of every shape — and I arrive at each one as a student of its light.
