A pre-wedding session is a raw, intimate hour with just the two of you — no guest list, no timeline, no audience. It’s where you learn how easy being photographed can feel, and where your save-the-dates, invitations and welcome signs come from.

A rehearsal for your nerves
An hour together teaches you how my direction works — a walk, a word, never a stiff pose. Couples who’ve done a session move differently on their wedding day: relaxed, unguarded, themselves.

Wedding days belong to everyone; this hour belongs to you. Most couples say it was the first time the engagement felt real — quiet, unhurried, and completely yours.
Somewhere that means something
The headland where the question was asked, the café of your first coffee, the beach you walk on Sundays. Bring a place — or bring nothing, and I’ll scout the perfect one for your light and season.

Hello
A free thirty-minute consultation — over coffee if you’re in Sydney, over a call if you’re not. We talk about you two, your day, and what you want these photographs to feel like.
Save the date
A small deposit and a simple agreement hold your session. Dates around golden hour on weekends go first — book early if your heart is set.
The plan
Location scouting, a shared mood board if you’d like one, outfit advice, and a time chosen for the best light. You’ll know exactly what to expect before we begin.
The session
From one hour of shooting, with up to two locations and an outfit change. No posing drills — prompts, walks and honest moments, with room to simply be together.
The gallery
Your private, password-protected online gallery arrives within two to three weeks — every image hand-edited, true to life, in print and web resolution.
The prints
Fine-art prints and handcrafted albums, if you’d like them — made to order and delivered within four to six weeks. The best photographs deserve walls, not just screens.

Preparing for your shoot
A little preparation, a lot of ease
Dress for movement
Fabrics that move photograph beautifully — linen, silk, anything that catches wind. Bring two looks: one dressed-up, one that feels like a Sunday. Avoid tiny checks and big logos; they argue with the camera.
Chase the golden hour
We shoot in the hour before sunset whenever we can — Sydney’s kindest light. Early risers can have the same magic at dawn with empty beaches to themselves.
You won’t need to pose
Nobody is naturally good at posing, so we don’t. I use prompts — walk, whisper, race to that tree — and photograph what actually happens. The awkwardness is gone in ten minutes; the photographs prove it.
Bring what you love
The dog. The vespa. A picnic and the good wine glasses. Rings freshly cleaned if you’d like detail shots. Anything that is truly you two makes the gallery more yours.
